Hanuman Jayanti celebrations at Hyderabad – 2015.

A Video of ‘Hanuman Jayanti Shobha Yatra’ at Paradise Circle:
There are over thousand Hanuman Temples in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and its suburbs. Some are very popular all over the city and the rest popular in and around their localities. Hanuman Jayanti that is birthday of Lord Hanuman was celebrated yesterday (4th April 2015) with great devotion and in a grand way at all these Temples. Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated on full moon day – Pournami/Punnami of Chaitra Masam.
All the Temples and their adjoining areas were spruced up and well decorated for the occasion with flowers, saffron flags and festoons bearing Hanuman’s images. Special poojas were held at the Temples the whole day (but for few hours in the evening due to lunar eclipse).  A massive vehicular procession which lasted for over 5 hours, with idols of Sri Rama and Hanuman called Shobha Yatra took place from Ram Mandir in Gowliguda Chaman, Hyderabad to Tadbund Hanuman Temple in Secunderabad. This main procession was also joined by several other smaller processions carrying attractive idols and waving saffron flags from different areas of the city. All along these routes and at Temples there was distribution of Prasadam. The whole city bore a very festive look. Various organizers and the active participants must be surely pleased with the grand arrangements and the devotees with the celebrations.
