Today is World Egg Day.

Today is World Egg Day. It is celebrated each year on the second Friday of October, since 1996. World Egg Day is a unique opportunity to help raise awareness of the benefits of eggs and is celebrated in countries all around the world. I decided to write about it by sharing some of our interesting egg related colorful photographs:
Eggs are nature’s easily available highest quality source of protein which can be cooked and eaten in different ways, at a price affordable to everyone! Protein is very essential for us, it helps us in many ways, the most important being muscle growth which in turn helps us in remaining active, strong and healthy. Eggs are also an excellent source for brain development, good memory, eyesight, disease prevention and well-being in old age.
Eggs are very essential for some recipes and in whichever way they are cooked or added to some dishes they are very delicious. Just to reminisce, these are some of the ways eggs are cooked: Boiled eggs, Fried eggs, Omelettes, Poached eggs, Steamed eggs, Deviled eggs, Scrambled eggs, Egg Bhurji, a variety of egg curries, Omelette curry, Egg drop soup, Egg salad, Egg Sandwiches, French toast, Egg Pakoda, Egg pickle and so on. And then as eggs can bind ingredients, they are used in custards and sauces. Eggs can emulsify so they are used in mayonnaise, salad dressings and to glaze breads and cookies. They are used in Naans optionally and in baking of cakes, soufflés etc. Their uses are many in our country and perhaps many more internationally!
If you like eggs; have more of them in many more ways and enjoy the tastes and a longer healthy life.
