My eldest son Ch. Srikanth's Upanayanam Ceremony was performed on Sunday, 22nd June 2014, at our house, Srilekha, in the company of near and dear. You can see the Ceremony in detail by viewing the following Photo-Video:
My nephew Dr. Sudheer, my niece Alekhya and my grandniece Sudhiksha as a team; shot a Video and took Photos of the Ceremony - Joyfully engaged in photography! …A Video of little over 3 hours! And 780 Photographs!
I choose about 30 percent of the Photographs to make the above Video. The Video is for the sake of relatives and friends who could not attend the function and are anxious to view the Upanayanam Ceremony.
Hope they, my blog followers and you the casual visitor to my blog will like it.

Universally most awaited 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks off in a few hours from now in Brazil! The opening ceremony is under 8 hours! It is at 11.30 p.m. today - 12th June!
After undoubtedly a very grand opening ceremony this night, the first match would be played between the host country Brazil and Croatia. And then this Feast of Football would continue to enthrall us for a month that is from tonight to 13th of July in Brazil (that is until early hours of 14th of July in India).
National Teams of 32 Countries have qualified to participate in this World Cup. A total of 64 matches will be played between them in 12 different cities of Brazil to decide the winner of the FIFA World Cup.
I have provided below two videos, one in celebration of the countdown to the World Cup and the other the official World Cup Song and below it the entire Match Schedule in Indian Standard Time. IST is (+) 8.30 hours ahead of Brazil Time. Today’s first Match between Brazil and Croatia is at 5.00 p.m. local time (12th June) which means it is at 1.30 a.m. IST (13th June). You will find that most of the matches are in the middle of the night, but for Indian football fans this once in four years bonanza is a must watch…certainly most of the matches, no matter what!

On 25th May 2014, I announced the Engagement of my son, Ch. Srikanth with Ch.La.Sow. Ranjini, daughter of Sri. Krishnan and Smt. Revathi, on my blog: http://srisrilara.blogspot.in/2014/05/announcement-of-my-son-chsrikanth-and.html.
At that point I could not post any photographs of the Engagement Ceremony that took place on 24th May 2014, except for that of the lovely Engagement Cake. Today, I am glad to present the entire function to you. At the end of these few introductory photographs of Srikanth and Ranjini and the Engagement Ceremony you will find a YouTube video consisting of an exhaustive photo presentation of the Engagement function - Nischitartham and Lagna Patrika Ceremonies. I wish you will find yourself and many you know in these photos and would be happy to witness the function in detail.
I request many whom I could not invite to the function and all followers and casual visitors of my blog to bless Srikanth and Ranjini.Thank you.
